•The Code on Social Security (Telangana) Rules, 2026, formulated by the Government of Telangana to regulate labor welfare and social security compliance.
•It establishes electronic governance protocols through a centralized State Portal for handling registrations, cess payments, and unified annual returns across various industrial sectors.
•The rules detail the structural constitution, official terms, and administrative powers of the Telangana Unorganised Workers' Social Security Board and the Building and Other Construction Workers' Welfare Board. Furthermore, it defines statutory frameworks for employee benefits, including structured gratuity fund management, comprehensive maternity benefits (such as mandatory crèche facilities), and employers' liability for delayed worker compensation.
•Finally, the rules prescribe strict guidelines for the maintenance of digital workplace registers, the reporting of vacancies to career centers, and the specific procedures required for compounding labor-related offences.
